VisualCEMS

Continuous Emission Monitoring Data Management System
Home / VisualCEMS

VisualCEMS is a data management module for continuous emission monitoring. It complies with environmental standards set by the TÜV agency. In accordance with the relevant local environmental agency, VisualCEMS automatically generates the requested documentation.

Control Systems

  • Combustion Processes
  • Steel Ovens
  • Turbogenerator monitoring
  • Gas compressor stations
  • Measurement of VOCs
  • Incineration
  • Biofermentation
  • Monitoring air
  • Granary monitoring
  • Remains of O2 and measurement of gas purity

Calculations

  • Emission Limit Value readings, daily, every hour, every half hour, 10 minutes, etc.
  • Control of unavailability
  • Abnormal operating conditions
  • Totalers
Generation of documentation for the environmental department

  • Data processing according to European technical instructions (UNE-EN 14181, EN 13284-2), US EPA and regional standards.

Alarms

  • By content, time and amount
  • Due to errors
  • Breach of the Emission Limit Value
  • Incorrect media
  • Peripheral fault

Aim of VisualCEMS

To treat emissions in a way so that we can control parameters such as:

  • Measured value
  • Calibrated value
  • Standardised value
    • To define measuring conditions which determine the peripherals
  • Validated value
    • To define validation calculations
    • Confidence interval
  • Validated semi-hourly average value
    • To define the amount of data needed to calculate the average hourly value
  • % of validated semi-hourly average values which exceed the ELV
  • Number of validated semi-hourly average values which exceed the ELV
  • Validated hourly average value
    • To define hourly and semi-hourly data which can be lost while the day is still considered valid
    • To define the maximum number of non-valid days per year
  • % of daily average CO values which exceed the ELV (50 mg/Nm3)
  • % of ten-minute average values which exceed the ELV (100 mg/Nm3)
  • Number of ten-minute average values which exceed the ELV (150 mg/Nm3)
  • Average value (period between ½ hour and 8 hours) of Hg
  • Hourly periods of abnormal operation
    • To define abnormal operation
  • Start-up periods and shutdown periods
    • To define the conditions that characterise start-up or shutdown
  • Flow diagram for each system tag in order to perform the required operations at all times, thus responding to any regulation that may arise
  • Follow-up and compliance reports in accordance with EPA laws, UNE-14181, Royal Decrees, Decrees, Technical Instructions (TI) and Integrated Environmental Authorisations
  • Sending files to the Council
  • Systems redundancy
